The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism  is a voluntary supply chain security program led by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and focused on improving the security of private companies’ supply chains with respect to terrorism. C-TPAT-certified companies are vetted on an annual audit basis in order to keep the c-tpat certification current. C-TPAT certification will help to mitigate risk from a compliance perspective in cases where US companies are exporting or importing into USA.

C-TPAT is a customs audit for the supply chains security to trade with US. A supply chain security consultant facilitates the ctpat audit to determine whether a client’s shipping protocols meet safety standards created by Customs and Border Protection.
